    What happened to the forums?

Is it just me or does anybody else notice that forum traffic is WAY down lately? There hasn't been a poster rebellion or anything of that sort that I'm aware of, so what happened? Come on people, a depression is the best time to start a business, cause all the other losers are in hiding. Now is not the time to hunker down at the JOB you hate and pray you don't get fired. What happens if you DO get fired? Do you stand in line with a thousand other people at the employment center to wait your turn for a computer with exactly five listings? Do you go live in Tent City, or in your car? What if you don't have hard skills, maybe you should get some? Everybody has a stupid humanities degree. It's worthless. Can you weld stuff or fix cars or fix computers? What happened to taking the initiative? Are we all waiting for Obama to create paper pushing bureaucrat jobs for us out of thin air? Is this the point where we all wait for the government to put us to work digging ditches that go nowhere, like in the 30s? Hello out there...I hear the echo...

    Haha, nicely put.

I've heard someone else say forum traffic seemed down, by I can't say I've really noticed anything.

I just generally lurk around like the one guy in the hallways of school. Sometimes when I get the urge to post, I do, but most times, I have no idea how to actually help out without a generic "you can do it" thing.

I don't know about traffic... but there has been a huge lack of good discussions. All the posters who used to debate these topics seem to have disappeared. All we are left with is people looking for money or selling their crap. I haven't seen a legit business post in a while. I keep posting... yet I get no responses... I miss the good old days

    ITS SWINE FLU... oh nozz

sorry i am getting tired of the constant media barage of "unconfirmed" this and "someone thinks" that.

I think it has slowed down a little the past few weeks.
probably due to the fact cash flow is lower because we all had to cut uncle sam a big fat tax check on april 15th. :-)

i haven't been here a long enough time but i wonder if it is just a normal flow. you get a flurry of posts and then people set off on their business with others (or gets good advice for their existing business) which slows down the traffic. then as time passes new people come in looking to make some connections or old ones return for more advice or a different opportunity and traffic picks up again. I wonder if we aren't just in one of those valleys at the moment.

    A forum recession. Haha

About the swine flu, I think it's being way over hyped. It's almost like they want to make people panic.

Good idea! Plus we'll need a couple million bucks to get us back on track, and if we're lucky, we won't go bankrupt. And the president can feel free to fire the forum admins at any time.

This is very true, I haven't been here too long, but when I first joined I would spend around an hour a day reading and responding to interesting threads.. Now its people spamming their sketch business ideas, or talking about non-intuitive things.

    Forum posts

    Hey there Everyone.,

Thanks for your posts and comments.
Our traffic is certainly up but there does seem to be many more 'looky-loos' checking out the forums and reading rather than posting their questions, comments and feedback. Well, we have a new site that is in the works (and has been for quite a while) that is going to launch at the beginning of the summer. Within the new launch we will have several new entrepreneurial experts with a lot of info and experience to share. Over the past years we have been contacted by some great Business Owners who have reached out to us to let us know that they would love to be part of the growing community. More Moderators, More Content, Biz Tools, Videos and much more! We have a lot in store for our loyal members and encourage you to keep the conversations going! Looking forward to some great months to come!

    Thanks!

I think before the recession, people were optimistic about entrepreneurship. Now that the recession has hit, people are less likely to be inclined to take risks.

Hence the level of entrepreneurialship(?) had dropped, resulting in a drop in posts in this forum.
