What can help you become a Entrepreneur

Hi

I am wanting to know what many young "wannabe" entrepreneurs would like out there to make their new career move off the ground.

-What are the things stopping you from working on an idea, business or project?

Is fear?
Lack of ideas?
Procrastination?
Anything?

-What would make your life easier? Please reply and tell me. Im callin from across the pond in London, to get an insight into the young americans brains.

I hope you will forward me your problems and maybe i can help with a solution.

Thanks and all the best

argg, I'd have to say money. It's pretty hard to raise/borrow the start up capital when you are under 18, no one really take you seriously. I have pretty much everything ready for my next business, but now trying to find funding or borrow from my parents. lol If I go get a job, it'll take another 2 months to earn the funding that I required. I can't really wait that long
Have Fun!
Nick,

Hi tinobuntic,
2 months to me is quite a bit of time I could get lots of things finished within 2 months. Everything has pretty much been planned, I just want to get enough money and go for it. It's really hard to wait when you are hyper ready for an idea lol. I am still in the Idea Hyper Exciting stage.
It's a delivering business, so lots of money will have to be spend on the incoporation fees, and licenses etc.
Have Fun
Nick

I've met so many people who WANT to be entrepreneurs but never do. Knowing they could make an effective decision within a week, write a business plan within a month, they dont even spend 5 minutes doing any of this. There's a reason for this. And its not lack of time.

Its all mindset

Its all about changing addictions. Addictions are defined as things we CANT help. If someone wants to start a business but just CANT. This means they are addicted to something that is preventing them from doing so. Which is the reason so many people talk talk talk but yet they haven't even put a pen to paper to write about two sentences which takes a matter of seconds into the business plan. Attack and eliminate your addiction to fear driven addictions and you will be able to start a business or do your dream.

Basically as long as you are addicted to "being accepted by others", "addicted to living a always level standard of living", "to inertia", "to what your girlfriend or friends think", "safety", "emotional levelness/sameness", "fantasy over reality"

You've gotta realize that you're gonna have to rough it to break these addictions. Withdrawal is pain, but without pain and sacrifice we'd have NOTHING great in this world. Get used to being uncomfortable and push outside your comfort zone. These all must be dropped or like people i know that haven't even touched a business plan yet that have free time like you and me. (although they'll reason they dont have the time) You won't even be able to get involved in the process of starting a business for 5 minutes. Replace it with a new addiction for the persuit of passion, improvement, novelty etc.

To change your mindset you must constantly reinforce your mind. I'd suggest printing out text saying "start a business" "I am starting a business" everywhere you exist. On your notebook, fridge, bedroom, car etc TAPE it everywhere. It must permeate your subconscious mind.

anyways that's my two cents

Talking

hi sstartz,
Just do what ever it takes to get funding. Ask, Beg, family, Friends, Goverment Fundings, Bank Loans, Small Business Loans, Take a Job. There are so many ways to do it. It's not easy I know, but do something. How much funding are you looking for?

If it's over $100 000 then it might be a good idea to look for a venture capitalist and bring in an investor.
At first, I thought I need a lot of money, but then I find tons of ways to cut my business expenses.

Good Luck with your business venture!
Have Fun
Nick

It's 100% mindset.

The mind is a battlefield. And most people are to afaird to be average. Thats why they are stuck in a go no where J.O.B ( Jackass or Boss). They'll subscribe to the 40, 50, 40, 50 plan. Work for 40 hours a week, for 50 weeks a year for the next 40 years to retire on 50% of what they made and die broke.

Sadly most people are taught this mind set. Get good grades, get a good education and you'll succeed when you get a good JOB. What a lie!

Most people can't make it past what other people think to succeed. And most people can't pratice a little delayed gradification.

I think it's sort of trite to regard all employees as not having a good mindset. Some people are socializers, others directors. Some people are submissive , others are not. Heck some people like vanilla ice cream, some don't. We're all different and thats fine. Entrepreneurs have this un-warranted ego. Some people simply DONT WANT to be business owners. That doesn't make them weak. Believe it or not, the 'get good grades a job and education' philosophy works for more people than the 'drop out of school and become a millionaire' one does.
