    Weird...

    Hey guys,

    I just need a quick question answered. People have been telling me that at the top of my webpage, supergamesarcade.com, that there are adverts by adengage. Now strangely enough they dont show up when i view the site on my laptop. So i just need to know can anybody else see them.

    Cheers

    I dont see any ads at the top of the page.

    From looking at the source the javascript for the ads is there.
    Have you tried moving the javascript snippet around, or even put it on an otherwise blank test page to see if it shows up at all.

    This should tell you whether its a problem with the site or the ad code.

    Well at least somebody doesnt see the ads. I didnt even realise they were there until I saw the site on my home computer. They totally ruin the site. I dont want them there at all.

    It looks like they show up in IE but not in firefox.

    If you look in the code for the site theres a chunk of javascript that starts
    <!-- START ADENGAGE.COM CODE 2.0 -->
    and finishes with
    <!-- END ADENGAGE.COM CODE 2.0 -->

    If you delete that section you should be able to get rid of the ads.

    Edit: Just browsed the site in firefox and it was perfect no ads. I think it could be to do with resolution

    There wont be a file on your server, the section of code refers to a remote javascript file on the adengage.com site that inserts the ads.

    You will have to edit the pages html (or php .asp etc) source and remove that snippet of javascript that I mentioned earlier.

    I found that page and its in the supergamesarcade.html file but instead of saying adengage its says clicksor, anyway i deleted the snippet and nothing happened.

    Ive searched in every file for everything related to adengage and cut it out. Nothing happned.

    Its difficult to say exactly what to do without knowing / seeing the actual site setup or server side code (if any).

    If you save the file from internet explorer then delete that adengage javascript snippet then the ads dont display, so that is definatly the culprit.

    At some point that snippet of javascript is being inserted into the page. If you are running any server side scripts it could be coming from a function call or even a database entry. You just need to track down where that code is coming from and delete it.

    Like I said it is difficult to offer any more specific advice without seeing the code.
