Website design!

Hello, i am in the first stages of trying to create a website. I really don't know where to begin. First off, i have what i want in mind, of what the website should look like. I just don't know how to create that image. I have tried to make a few rough drafts of what i have in mind, but it always turns out looking "home-made". I have pretty much got all the HTML taken care of, know someone that can help me with that. I just need the design of the website. I could draw something up, which might help..
