About LinkBacksI think we need a section where you can post stuff you are GIVING away, link exchanges, blog posts that sort of stuff. I am not an admin I just think that would be kinda cool and I see it in alot of other forums? just a suggestion

like what digital point offers a buy and sell section, but also a section that offers free stuff, but not like craigslist.

Like a ye marketplace.
It is a good idea, but creates alot of problems for administrators. Because they now have to moderate another forum. And are faced with a multitude of new problems in which they will have to find solutions for that aren't their concern.
Say you make a deal with somebody in a ye marketplace. They don't deliver on their end of the bargain. Who are you going to complain to? Who is going to have to take action against the other user? It will be the ye admins and they were not involved in the transaction at all, but now are the enforcement office who is forced to deal with it.
I am a part of many forums that have great marketplaces, but it never fails that somebody is scammed at sometime and the moderators/admins have to deal with it.

I think Nelson's post referred to a place for promoter's of items to give away FREE items. Thus, it would not be a marketplace, but more of a freebie bulletin board. I don't think that I would waste my time there, but I don't think it would present as many problems to the administrators as you suggest. However, I don't think it would be worth it, as it would eventually get bogged down with a barrage of worthless spam-type items.

It happens all the time on other boards.
Free link trade...You put their link up they don't put yours up you get pissed and flame them or tell a mod and then the action is on them.

My understand that it was a suggestion for a bulletin board where promoters could give away free items, not trade links. My bad for misunderstanding.
