However there are some people who will make you their friend then exploit you or your information

I agree, people should really be cautious when it comes to accepting friend requests.

Hey Bill,

I tell ya, MySpace has been the best Web 2.0 portal for me, but I use several others as well. What I've found is it's the same everywhere - you always have some folks that get into these things to exploit contacts bases. Just delete em, nuff said!

Yeah, see, the whole point is that you actually add people that are your... you know... FRIENDS. Why the hell would you add someone that you don't actually know?

Given all the publicity its garnered these past few years, more and more of the unscrupulous types have made their way on facebook, which is inevitable. Still useful though, especially when employers want to see pictures of prospective employees downing kegs of beer and acting like idiots.

I am on facebook, but haven't really done much with it since I signed up. I do want more info about fanbox if anyone else is on it? I am getting fan requests like crazy.
