Palin actually kind of held her own. Still not liking McCain, but she did alright.

Biden owned her.
Sarah Palin has been getting a crash course on world events and national level politics these last few weeks... that's great, but I don't want someone in office who is cramming for a test. I want someone who knew this stuff all along.

Google isn't as dumb as you think.
what do you think about palin attacking biden on his past stances which have changed since he accepted the position of VP nominee? He didn't seem to even answer to defend that. Did he need to? WHat do you think he should have said?

There is always going to be flip flopping on either side (regarding a VP sidelining past statements to fall more in line with his principal) - but I think that as long as there is agreement on some core issues, it's not a big deal.
What really turned me off at several points was both of them shying away from giving real answers and instead saying how great their principals were. I'd rather see two potential VPs debate what THEY would do, not ride on the coattails of a President whom they may have to replace.
But overall I think Sarah Palin was just trying to defend things that can't really be defended (like the war). And Biden just seemed a lot more competent. I really, really liked his bit about John McCain not being a "maverick" on anything that really mattered to anybody.
Another moment where Palin looked stupid was when she said that she wasn't concerned with the "cause" of climate change, just how to fix it. It seems to me that (as Biden pointed out) you need to know what is causing a problem in order to deal with it.
I'm a registered libertarian, I don't like big gov't or a lot of "Democratic Party" ideas, but the idea of John McCain (and by extension, Palin) in the White House frightens the living hell out of me. McCain is clueless about terrorism, he's clueless about the economy, and he will get us all killed.

I have never been into politics until this election, personally I felt that she avoided questions or didnt really answer them a lot of the time, also biden seemed to make here look stupid.. However, I feel that I had a preconceived notion that biden was going to own palin, thus maybe I was a little biased.
However, it got on my nerves how she would just randomly change the subject and talk about something that she seemed to have already prepared for, just so she could talk about something she new.
Anyways, Palin did well all things considered.
I meant to say too that Biden really did well when he was talking about getting out of Iraq, and compared our deficit with their $80 billion surplus. The theme was that it's time to let them take this thing over and get the hell out of there. Palin looked really weak parroting the GOP line that the helpless Iraqis need us around for an indefinite time period.
I think that issue alone is going to cost McCain the election. People know the war was bullshit from start, and they want out.
