So I had to answer this question in my Systems Analysis and Development course:

This week I would like for us to share our Internet system experience or research. If you do not have any experience then you need to conduct some research of Internet or EC systems. Make the sure the company or system is an Internet system – please do not comment on any store front business systems. Feel free to tell us as much as you wish. However, you must provide at least one paragraph to earn full credit. Some examples are Google, eBay, and etc.

And I chose USAKOS website, rentersq.com:

Rentersq is a fairly new landlord/tenant system. Before Rentersq, a tenant would walk into a leasing house and fill out the lease application. The landlord would then look over the lease, verify their income, and fax a request to the previous landlord for the tenants past rental information. The tenant sometimes had to wait days, even weeks for the previous landlord to provide that information, often excluding important information on the tenant such as their characteristics, traits, and bad habits.

With this new system, landlords can simply, with one click of a button, find tenant rental information, past behaviors, and payment history, from anywhere in the world. This helps eliminate behavioral problems, non-payment, and characteristics that a landlord may not desire. This information is entered into the rentersq system as a tenant profile, which they can easily use to fill the lease information and make a good decision on whether or not to lease to the tenant. The great thing about this system is that it's fast, free, and confidential. This site also features charts and graphs, to help steer the landlords into the right decision. Tenants can also use the same information to make decisions on choosing the right landlord, since tenants also get to add information about their landlord into the database and view a landlord's overall rating.
