trying to do networking

Well since I have not found any drop shippers that I am completely happy with for pet supplies I have started a e-mail campaign. I think I have sent out nearly 50 e-mails to various manufactures and distributers or pet supplies. I am starting to get real discouraged. So far I have not gotten one single reply. The e-mails have been out since Saturday I think it was, but have sent some of them on Sunday too. I sure hope I can start to develop some sort of leads soon.

I think you might have to just go the route of buying product and carrying an inventory. Manufacturers dont get excited about dropshipping. They would rather sell bulk orders to retail stores. I say buy in bulk andcarry inventory. If nobody contacts you I would call them it works a little more efficiently

If there are any local petshops around your area, I'd call up the manager and ask if you can set up a 5 minute meeting about your product. Offer to do lunch if they don't have 5 mins.

Those small stores can carry whatever they want without the approval of any corporates. Also, I used to work at a Pet Supplies Plus and I know the managers got a little leeway on what they could order. Most of those places are really happy to stock a local product.

The problem is I want to carry 1000's of products so that is kinda out of the question.
