    Tim Russert...

Tim Russert died today of a heart attack after returning from a family vacation. He was in the news room, I presume working on the show for Sunday.

He is being hailed today as being a journalist like now other in modern times. Always very prepared, always willing to ask the tough questions, never willing to give a guest the easy way out.

Tim Russert comes from a blue collar upbringing. The son of a garbage collector, he established himself as a journalistic professional by applying the well learned life lessons taught him by his father, and applied them to his career in front of the camera. He never stopped studying, was always willing to learn what was necessary for his job, and was willing to execute a performance every week since 1991, when he took over the longest running show on television, and made it the "can't miss" for political junkies across America.

We can all learn from such focused and determined professionalism.

More important, we are reminded that our time on this world is limited, and can end at any time. Take the time today to tell your family you love them. Take the time to smell some roses and enjoy this life. Hug your friends, you might not have them tomorrow.
Conservative opinions from someone who thinks a little differently than most.

The world has lost a great man. He has left us far too soon.

He will be sorely missed! I thought he was awesome! Yes, we do need to realize we are not promised tomorrow; which is one thing that I think makes an entrepreneur willing to take risks.
