    This Should Scare You

I was just reading the news, and I came across this.

Scholar: U.S. will collapse — next year - Russia- msnbc.com

I don't know all that he bases his predictions on, but at any rate, it's enough to make you wonder.

Proof IQ points can sometimes be that number on the inside of your shoes... LOL..

The US economy will crash soon, there's no doubt... It won't be like "The Great Depression" of the 1930s but it will be tough.

And to be honest & fair, there's no such thing as a "Recession proof" business.
Even the most amazing "get-rich-quick" schemes don't work when 4Million+ people
loose their jobs and can't afford it.

Ah yes, A Kremlin based economist.

    Credibility +++

What he doesn't say is that Russia is also having political troubles atm. A bit of infighting and the support for Putin etc isnt looking as rosy from inside of the party as it was.

Also, the top 10 russian billionares have lost a combined $150 billion last year. Ouch.

Yea the American system will collapse but as soon as it does the North American Union will start, just like the European Union, and soon to be African and Asian Unions. It'll be the combination of the US, Mexico, and Canada. And the strong financial systems of Canada and the growing economy of Mexico will leverage it all out. It's been quoted many times that the easiest way to start the New World Order is to start from the bottom not the top. FDR once said, "In politics everything is planned." And for you that say this is not politics its a free enterprise economy, it became politics right when the government started throwing money on the so called problems.

Why will the American system collapse? Give reasons for your conclusions.

Much has already collapsed in fact. Look at the numbers of foreclosures (real estate problems), the huge de-valuation of real estate nationwide, the stock market (DJIA) heading toward 5000 pts, and the unemployment figures in the last 6 months. To be honest there has not been good news in the economy (USA) for quite some time now. Do a "google" search for key economic indicators and you'll find that in the last 18 months everything has been heading south.

The turn-around for the US economy (from what I have read) is not even forecasted for 2009...things are not going to even start to turn around until (maybe) 2010. Some wonder if we'll even start pulling out by that point in time.

I am a small time player on the markets and just one portfolio (a bank manages) has lost about $10K per month for that last 9 months, a portfolio that was designed to only produce (roughly) $10K per year in income - now loosing that much monthly. Terrible stuff if you happen to talk with anyone that has any type of 401K, retirement portfolio, or nest-egg they had planned on retiring with.

One retired client I met with to discuss insurance has lost 140K in 12 months in 1/2 of his retirement 401K - half his money disappeared, gone. Things are not good at all, but I guess - some folks plugging away at retail careers, or folks "not yet old enough" to have saved hundreds of thousands don't understand the severity.

The news will tell you what is happening - but normally they are about "12 months behind" the real stories and actual problems that are occurring.

I'll say it again - nothing positive has really happened in at least 18 months, unless you are part of an investment firm that's buying up foreclosures for pennies on the dollar!

No one can predict what will actually happen, if they say they can - then perhaps they already have made their 100 million+, we are all novices here I think in this experience.

Talk to anyone that has worked for 25+ years, saved their money, and was planning on retiring 2 years, or 1 year ago. Not C-level folks, factory laborers, common blue-collar workers - they are desperate.

One big indicator is called "consumer confidence" (you can "google" the importance of that term) - guess what: "America doesn't have any right now." True...

Well simply because it's intended to collapse. The start of new projects such as the north american union can only happen when you break something down completely. With the chaos people will lean toward a more unified system. When an economy collapses the FED gets stronger. Give and take, there has never been an instance in life where one man didn't gain from anothers loss. Do a little research on the Great Depression, the family who was behind that is the same family behind the this current situation.

Exactly my view. When first reading the US collapse prediction I was a bit skeptical. But as soon as he mentioned: "...Russia and China will become the backbones of a new world order", it seemed just a bit slanted and wishful thinking.

Doesn't worry me in the least. We've been through far worse than this recession.

I think any time anyone says that Russia and China will become the backbone of the world, we should all worry. haha
