    the unhappy meal

So with todays hype over health and fitness, there would be endless oppurtunities for books in that nature.

I figured it seemed funny how theres hundreds upon hundreds of books of diet and nutrition, for adults. But teens, where do they go? Mabe a book on that for teens, by a teen (im 15) is a good idea. Because I could relate better, and it would be simplified, and broken down for the un-educated reader in the health field. Is this truly a good idea because this would be the fist opinion (other than family) on this matter.

And would any of you buy a book for your son/daughter or someone you know that is a teen faced with obesity?

I would appreciate any comment, good or bad.

This is only my opinion but a diet book can be used for all ages surely what would be differant with kids and i would think the expense involved would not be worth it in the long run,yes kids do have a problem i understand that but you can find simplified adults diet books off the shelf already to do the same thing. It could be possible to issue the book in ebook format but would it sell i am not sure that could be a way forward rather than say the hard or softback way.

yeah I understand, but i think the thing that made me really consider writing it would be the fact that its not some PhD trying to describe the effects that xythitol and other additives puts on your body, but how its a 15 year old.

I dont mind giving up on the idea, but I dont know many other alternatives to this. Ive considered hosting a website, and getting the advertising rates off that.

I completely disagree. Personally I believe it is a good idea. You say that teenagers can use adult books yes that’s true but if a teenager had the choose of getting a book off the shelf directed at adults or teenagers Im sure they would get the one aimed at teenagers.

Just some ideas of the bat,

You could have fitness routines for sitting at a study desk/ school bus / classroom ect

Have A dietary part on common foods that teenagers eat

How to have healthy skin ect

I would also launch a small Ebook just to test the market.

    Good luck

I think it's a great idea BUT, have you stopped to think how many of today's teenagers read? And how many of those read non-fiction?
I think you'd be better off doing a weightloss forum and trying to keep the anorexics off of it.

It's more accessible, presents the opportunity for individualised help, etc.

thank you to both of you, but i was thinking it would be more for like the moms, but im still not sure. Thats why i said it would be very simplistic, short number of pages, and it would review all that. And yes i planned on including stuff such as meals, exercises, and especially skin care, since teenagers are extremely eager to get rid of acne, and ive tried a method ive read before and it truly cleared up my acne problem. So i have some facts to back it up.

    Any other suggestions?
