The Success Poem
I used to write poetry when I was a kid growing up. I used to love putting words to paper, and making them rhyme. I was pretty good at it too. Anyway, instead of writing an article like I usually do, I decided to do something different and return to my poem-writing days.
The following poem is not designed to be a literary masterpiece. So save your criticism. My goal was to have a little fun, while at the same time offer some sage business advice. Enjoy!
The Success Poem
In this poem I speak the truth.
I'll give you facts you can't refute.
If you want to make more sales,
You mustn't listen to tall tales.
There are no shortcuts to success.
It takes hard work to be the best.
First you have to have a plan.
This you have to understand.
Without a roadmap you will fail.
This my friend is no tall tale.
Next you have to learn your craft.
Absent knowledge you have no path.
Then you must take action NOW.
Don't worry about the why and how.
Proceed with caution do you hear?
Fools rush in where angels fear.
Plan your work and work your plan.
Persistence leads to a winning hand.
When you advertise test, test, test.
Acquire facts don't ever guess.
The right ingredients are essential.
This my friend is elemental.
When you make money reinvest.
That's the secret to success.
This simple recipe isn't hard.
It's all in how you play your cards.
If you do things like a pro,
You will see your business grow!
