    Hey guys.

I just created a list of 5 amazing houses that are for sale at the moment, ranging from $29,000,000 to $95,000,000.

These houses were amazing so I included a heap of photos.

I hope that it inspires you to keep pushing for financial independence.

If you are feeling extra generous, I would love a digg or stumble and even some feed back on the blog, because I only just launched it today.

    Thanks!

Very nice. I like the first and the last.

I'm going to buy a castle one day.

Im pretty sure it's still for sale and if so no list of expensive homes should be without it; portabello in Newports Cameo shores. It was listed at 75,000,000. If you go to youtube and search portabello it is your first result. It shows a full walkthrough of the house, it's ridiculous.

I think I like the canadian one the best. Sometimes spending a lot of money looks very cheap.

I really like the one at the Jumby Bay Private Island, but I'll still go for my dream house which I designed.

The owners of thes homes have very bland taste. Nothing artistic or interesting about them other than sheer size or use of expensive materials. Blah.

There have been a lot of homes for sale here in California as a result of the mortgage crisis, and I've been to some of the open houses. The ones downtown are truly magnificent, excellent use of material, excellent detail, and all built between 1908 and 1923. Then I went to North Natomas, which is the newest suburb and thus one of the hardest hit, and the homes all looked cheap and had silly "amenities". One had a master suite with a fake fireplace that used natural gas. One standard feature was the jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Ridiculously huge closets were standard too. Another standard was the fake hardwood balustrades, cheap pine treated with chemicals to make it look like hardwood. North Natomas was rice fields until 2000. Obviously, cars isn't the only industry that has declined in quality in America. The true Gilded Age estates are not for sale, either they're museums or still owned by the descendants of the original owner. If you're in the San Francisco area, I believe that the Filoli estate on the peninsula is still open for tours.

I haven't been to Natomas in a couple years. But I know the ghetto is just a hop and a skip away from the nicer areas, it doesn't suprise me that their new strip homes suck.
