The Entrepreneur vs. the W2 Employee

    Hi all -

What's your favorite attribute of the entrepreneur vs. the regular, 9-5 working W2 employee?

    Here's mine:

The entrepreneur: Looks for money-making opportunities, and searches for deals, and works with their CPA/tax strategist to new areas to decrease tax liability [therefore increasing income].

The Employee: Asks the boss for overtime and hopes for a 3% raise at year's end.

As an entrepreneur you have more freedom to do what you want, but you also have a lot more responsibility. Your success is completely in your hands.

Entrepreneurs sees risk as opportunities. Employees sees risks as danger.

To me it seems the E's are more dedicated and hard working. I know this doesn't apply to all corporate employees, but a lot of my friends in the corporate world just seem to do enough work to get by and aren't committed. That won't fly when you work for yourself. Corporate folks seem to be more looking for loopholes, like a nice hour and a half lunch. I know this doesn't apply to everyone, just one thing I've noticed.
