hey guys,

I was researching for my latest blog post about "What Defines A Famous Blogger' and remember this video I had seen about this now 'Famous' teen.

In Australia this teen threw a party while his parents were away and 500 people showed up and it got out of hand, police cars got damaged and there was a massive uproar in the media about it.

He was on a popular current affairs program and check out this interview:

Actually, it's because EVERY image of Corey Delaney since that stupid party of his, he's had those glasses on... And they make him look douchetastic.

The funniest thing is that his actually up on charges of creating and distributing child pornography for taping his 15y/o mates getting it off at that party that made him famous, and then MMSing it to friends.
The part that makes that funny is because he's a minor, he can't be named in the papers, but the details that CAN be released on public record, have made it bloody obvious that it IS him.

I'll be so amused if he gets the same rap sheep as a pedophile without even being overage.

This guy got himself an agent.

Then appeared on Big Brother Australia 2008 for 12 days, earning $10K per day.

So he's made at least $120K from his notoriety.

He wouldn't have gotten that job, and the money, if he hadn't had this party, which caused criminal damages. QED.

What I'm amazed at is that the police didn't slap the family with a services bill for wasted time and resources.

The truth is, people are taking this way to seriously. The kid's a party animal so what? A lot of young peeps like to frigan party. He put one ad on myspace and frigan 500 people showed up. It's not his fault that kids he didn't even invite to his own party started destroying shit OFF his property.

Secondly, Corey was just a kid trying to save face against an ugly mega-bitchy power-tripping cunt of a reporter. I mean, who the fuck does she think she is saying "Take off those glasses!" for no frigan reason at all. Why SHOULD he have taken off those glasses. If he had caved to her stupid demand he would've been a spineless weakling, so I'm proud of him for standing up for himself.


Thirdly, people hate Delaney so much because at some level, they're jealous that this random kid, throws a party, talks obnoxiously to a reporter, and ends up getting a taste of fame and fortune. Everyone gets that "why couldn't that happen to me, when I'm not even as bad as he is" feeling, so they all want his fame and notoriety to come at a price.

Lastly, the kid filmed some other kids his age at his party doing sexual shit. Anyone who wants a fairly innocent kid to face the same charges of a pedophile, who rapes innocent children for pleasure, which means going to jail for years, enduring that kind torture and wrecking the one life he has on this earth because he threw a stupid party really needs to get themselves mentally checked out.

No, it's about learning some godamn responsibility for actions.

Hell, I threw big parties when I was a teenager too. I had about 250 people show up to my 17th. You know what? Nothing got broken, and the neighbours actually complimented my folks for being able to keep shit under control... My parents weren't even aware I'd had a party until the neighbour did that!
If people tried to crash it, I told them to piss off or prepare for a rumble.
At the end of the party, which was about 7am the next day, I just asked everyone to throw out 3 pieces of rubbish and not make so much noise.

And it IS his fault, because he put an ad on MySpace, knowing full well that EVERYONE can see that shit. It's bad enough with SMS, but can you honestly say he didn't expect that when he posted it?

Amazingly, being polite and courteous actually works...
Being a little prat begets being prat like behaviour. People wouldn't hate him so much if he'd just given a lame apology about how he really hadn't expected it to get out of hand and he's so sorry that it happened.
He didn't even have to mean it, he just had to say it...
But no, he continues acting like his top shit.

I STILL like to party. Until recently, I was running nightclub events (pretty niche stuff, I'm into glitch-pop when I'm getting my groove on). If something like this had happened at one of my nights, I can guarantee you that I would be sued by my insurers for unacceptable risk, and would be facing some seriously steep fines at best, and possibly jailtime at worst.
Being 16 shouldn't abrogate the responsibility, or if it does for HIM, that responsibility should rightfully be passed on to the parents for obviously failing to raise a child that can pass muster with the rest of society at large.
