Lightbulb Stuck at the Idea Phase!

Hey guys, just joined this forum and I am excited to learn from all you guys. I am impressed with all the content I have read so far. I wanted to open this up to anyone that wants to contribute some of their own experiences or advice. Me and a buddy of mine came up with a unique college hockey recruiting service that we are both very passionate about. We have flushed out a preliminary analysis of it but are stuck at the idea phase. I want to turn this idea and passion we have into a tangible thing rather than a pipe dream. What do you guys think? whats the first few steps?

write a plan...what you are going to do, how you are going to do it. The money involved....once you plan it out its more tangible and one step closer to action!

Ask these few questions:
Why do you want to start this business?
What is this business about & its offerings(products, services)?
Who are your customers & who are willing to pay for your offerings for your business to profit?
How do your business intend to run?
When do you start, & when are its milestones for different stages?

In summary, what is your business concept?

Definitely write it all down and start setting some short term goals.

Find out what type of skills you both offer and then begin to identify the roles that you need other people to fill.

PM me with details and I may be able to help you out. I'm pretty passionate about sports myself.

keep a little notebook with you at all time, everytime you think of something you could add or do write it down right away, when you get home organize your thoughts and ideas and sync it with your business plan.

This has helped me so much, because i get most of my ideas when i stumble across them in my day to day rather than sitting at my computer forcing myself to think of something.

Its like finding something when your not looking for it
