Yeah I was pretty shocked... I mean he wrestles with cros and venemous snakes everyday.

And I wouldn't have thought a sting-ray would be very dangerous (they usually don't attack or anything)

He was a true (somewhat stereotypical) Aussie icon

I really enjoyed watching his films and documentaries on British TV. Its a real shame he's dead - he's done a great job for promoting nature (or its danger anyway). He will be missed.
