    Social Networking Websites

Most of us agree with the fact that life is rotten without friends. Friends are the most desired assests we can bank upon. Most of us consistently think about ways to make new friends for a cool life.

Social networking websites are helping people to build a large number of friends throughout the world. I have been researching on this for some time now and have compliled a list of websites that help people make new friends they can bank upon.

    Some of these websites are:

http://www.uuswap.com A new type of social network site launched in the latter half of 2004. Featured on the uniqueness of combining online swap with personal network.

http://www.hi5.com An easy-to-use online social networking site for meeting new people, connecting with friends, and sharing ideas.

http://circles.lycos.com The right place to share and discuss with your favorite circles of people, stay in touch and make plans with less effort .

http://www.orkut.com A new social networking site powered by Google and committed to providing an online meeting place where people can socialize, make new acquaintances and find people who share their interests.

http://www.friendster.com An old and classic online social networking site that connects people through networks of friends.

http://www.ryze.com A hybrid social networking site which helps people grow their business, build their career and life, find a job and make sales or just keep in touch with friends.

http://www.meetup.com A innovative social networking site which helps find people who share same interest or cause, and form lasting, influential, local community groups that regularly meet by face-to-face.

http://www.multiply.com A social networking site focused on enhancing user experiences and making it easier to share photos, journals ("blogs") and classified listings.

I have been actively involved in developing business models pertaining to websites based on a social pitch and have the access to the alpha versions of various cool websites currently in the development stage. I'll be reviewing these and update this blog n a regular basis.

    Debate - Social Network websites

    Hi,

Yesterday, my friends and I had a debate over social networking vs. offline friends.

This topic is runningn into my mind since hours and I cannot find any convincing answer for it. So, finally I decided to share my confusion with you and see what you have to say on that.

I am posting the synopsis of the debate

We humans, by nature cannot survive alone and are always on a look out for a companion, or a social circle where we can forget the worries of the day, relax and be ourselves.

Unfortunately, our demanding careers and hectic life make it almost impossible for us to find the type of companionship or any time for the social circles.

Therefore, more and more people are opting for Social Networking site. From past my experience social networking sites not only helps to make new friends but also very educative everyone is sharing their experiences on a simple platform.

I treasure my online friends and cherish my offline friends

Eagerly waiting to see what you to say on the topic.

    See Ya!
