So, a kid just knocked on my door.

As the the title would suggest, a kid, no older than 4 or 5 just knocked on my door. I answer, and he asks if I would like a flower. I said, "Yeah, sure.", and he handed me a dandelion.

About ten minutes later I hear a knock at my door again, he had returned and asked if I would like to buy a 'picture for a dollar' (it was his colorings)!

What a young and budding entrepreneur I have on my block. Win someone over with a free flower, (even if it was a dandelion picked out of my yard) then return later to sell them a coloring! Haha.

    This made my morning.

My smallest bill was a ten. If I had a single on me at the time, I would of picked it up, just because. I am sure he found some buyers though.

On second thought, I probably could of haggled with him. Traded him a soda and some Ramen Noodle packs for it, lol.

great spirit in that kid - love to see initiative like this!

Our next door neighbours kid noticed we had some weeding to do in our back yard and dropped a hand written card in our letter box offering to do our weeding for us as he wanted to earn some money for iTunes. Nice card, not pushy just a friendly offer.

My wife an I were so impressed we gave him the job and had him wash both our cars as well for a bit extra. He did a great joba nd we were happy to encourage thinking like this. Good on him I say, and we've offered to see if anyone else needs odd jobs done for him.

I card got him 3 jobs and a free of charge sales team!

We have some great people that live in our town here in NJ. My 11 year old daughter is a "budding entrepreneur" as well. She started out the same way. Picking the neighbors flowers and trying to sell them, right down to finding rocks and painting them before selling. People really like these unique ideas are are usually generous at promoting the confidence of these children by buying their "products". My daughter has since moved on to bigger money making ideas and now has a few dogs in town that she walks. Yet, she doesn't walk ours!

better than selling lemonade (cause most kids simply 'steal' the ingredients from mom's kitchen). This kid actually put in some work and drew a picture
