GuyBBY: Yeah, no one in Australia actually drinks Fosters... It's our export beer, and we all like to make jokes about it. Kind of like how you never see real Mexicans drinking Corona when you're down that way.

I'm not too sure if the following beers make it to your general stores, but if you go to a specialty retailer they might:
  • Coopers - South Australian local beer, considered one of the best main stream beers
  • Cascade - Tasmania. Some of the purest water in the world is in Tasmania, and the beer tastes 'clean' because of it
  • Boags - As American's, their St.George label would probably be the most similar to what you're used to
  • Little Creatures - Beer that still has the yeast sediment in the bottom. Interesting texture... First time I bought it, I was expecting it to have sea monkeys or something
  • 3 Ravens - New on the market, but getting big REALLY quickly.
  • Holgate - All of their beers taste like fruit for some reason, apparently they use molasses instead of brewers sugar. Also a new player on the market.
