If you were to run for a political office, which one, and why?

For me, i'll go for the UN Secretary General, so I can really help people. Just look at what's happening around the world. Yes, UN is not a political organization, but that's what interests me.

The UN is nothing but a POLITICAL organization. But, if thats what you want to do go for it. I would like to run for governor. Thats the spot with the most power as far as I can see. Presidents are handicapped by the media, interests, and foreign influences. Governors make real important decisions daily. Other than that, city council wouldn't be too bad either. I actually have every intention to run for office one day, I just feel like I need to earn it by being productive first and starting my own business or something similiar.

I wouldn't want to get involved in politics. There's often a conflict of interest between power and what the right thing to do is. Additionally, you can do much more privately than publicly, especially due to the inefficiencies in governmental organizations.

Well, I'm seriously considering running for city council in 2010. I've decided that I'm going to pursue a career in the public sector (yet remain a business owner in the private sector). This has been inspired by my boyfriend, who is currently a County Board Supervisor, at the age of 23.

I've always been politically active. But, now I realize that I'll have greater influence within the gov't. Ideally, I'd love to one day be a the Executive Director of Economic Development and Housing for Wisconsin. That would be the best position.
