Question

Hello Everyone,
First off I'd like to hand out kudos to the owner of this site, Great Job.

Now I'm currently considering several small business Idea's. I'm 22 years of age currently working full time here in ontario Canada. I earn approx 50-60k/year "however can't manage it very well", like the rest of us I can always find a more important reason to spend than to save even though this will hurt me in the long run. Now my question is towards the retail market i'm considering opening a childrens clothing store. I've read several books including small business guide for Canadians, brain stormed hundreds of Idea's from marketing/advertising, floor layouts etc.. "the fun part". I havn't yet looked up the price of inventory considered the price of renting/owning hydro, lisences etc..
I would like to ask if the is a large enough profit margin in this retail industry, will I be able to compete with corperate Giant Wal-Mart in my small town community of 50k people.

Any Advice would be Greatly Appreciated,

Sincerely,
Gaetan Fortier
