    Proper business models...

Im suggesting that people should stop dreaming of get rich quick, ebooks and MLM etc rubbish, and look at starting a proper business be it online/offline.

Sick of coming to YE and seeing rubbish.

Alot of people need to get a reality check are realize there is no easy way to make money and come to reality.

Also think that having affiliate links in sigs should mean instant banning.

That's my opinion, would also argue alot of people on here arent entrepreneurs, just lazy people.

True, anything takes lots of hard work. But making money is very possible, and I am now making most of my money online. Just because you don't believe in it, or decide to close your mind to it, does not mean it's not happening.

When was the last time you posted something positive? If you hate seeing it then why do you come here and complain? Why don't you change your perspective and see the opportunities?

I agree with about half of your post, but you have to realize with the economy the way it is, the "making money online" market will experience a huge demand in this next year. So you will likely see an influx of people with affiliate links etc.

Most affiliates don't make much at all. I don't see why it would make you angry though. That's the way the world works, not everyone will be successful. I myself tried to start a local business over the past year and it didn't work out as expected, and now I'm returning to the online marketing which I've always had a knack for. It's not for everybody.

The name of your thread is "proper business models" but you've said nothing about it. Are you saying it's not legally possible to make money online with ebooks? I operate with an LLC and sell ebooks, plenty of them, and I also sell on eBay.

Perhaps you should shed some light on what "reality" you're talking about, and maybe give some tips/advice. What do you suggest people do?

Let me guess, you've been burned or scammed by some online ebooks/etc. in the past?

Why would you argue people here are not entrepreneurs? I would argue you're not an entrepreneur because you focus too much on the "harsh reality" and ignore opportunity. As far as I know entrepreneurs are about exploiting opportunity and working smart. A lot of entrepreneurs actually have been labeled as "lazy" and that's why they innovate things that make lives easier and simpler, while making money at the same time. In fact, being lazy is why I strive for passive income. Who wants to spend their whole life working anyway...

Oh, and you're the only one in this thread so far with a signature link

Im talking about a business, which is scalable and actually solving a problem etc.

YE is just flooded with people trying to flog off their latest ebook telling you how to make $500 a day, and it only costs you $39...

Great isnt it? That sounds so amazing....

I would love to see more people here with a REAL business.

I sell on ebay.. Im a power seller and its where i make most of my sales... Im not saying anything bad against that.

Also.. No I haven't been burnt or scammed, I just dont believe they are entrepreneurial.

Yeah, I do agree with most of what you're saying. I don't see too many of the old members around. It's becoming more like an Internet marketing playground. But I really don't mind that much at this point.

    crackah,
You need to get a reality check mate!!! not everyone has access to starting business from scratch right now!! the economy is shaky salary is shaky jobs are shaky and in times such as these some of the best ways to make money are MLM or affiliate marketing (i am not currently involved in either I own a successful retail company at 19 years old) because everyone is willing to give it a shot because things are so bad.
And i think people like you are just going to come here and bitch should be banned. quit complaining so much god damn!

Im complaining that there is a real lack of quality. Do you own a successful retail company? Thats good work?

Need more of this and less of the other rubbish. Its not entrepreneurial. Why doesnt everyone have access to starting a business? its just excuses.

There is opportunity in rough times too, there is always opportunity.

    *edit*

Multi level marketing... Some might call it affiliate marketing or a home business franchise. Wikipedia it for more info.

I am not an entrepreneur myself (yet), but I have to agree there are some people who come here and post bs.

Please keep the MLM or eBook opportunities in the advertisement threads.
