Prizewise.com

Prizewise.com is like Ebay with a twist.

The auctions work as sweepstakes, you purchase a ticket for the item you want instead of bidding on it.

Interesting concept.

Wow why didnt i come up with that. If i was to invest in one new online startup it would be this..... fantastic idea.

Imagine the possibilities of businesses with this also. They can make more money on thier products then thier retail price probably.

Its a good concept but...

Definately no substitute for ebay though....how likely are you to win a prize with say 3000+ tickets in it...lol. Also some prizes will take forever until they reach the minimum number of tickets. I've never been a fan of raffles so i don't see myself using this anytime soon....i do see it however as being a good investment.

You have to think a little different then that.
It has a very unique business model that could take off on the internet... on top of that the company has other lines of businesss (homeland security) ... They also turned a profitable comapny this year.

Its all risk to reward. With a low price of .10 its got way more reward them risk.

To me prizewise could be big. People are more then willing to buy a few raffle tickets for a chance to win a large prize. Once traffic starts coming to the site 30,000 tickets of more wont take long for a Car, etc.

Thats my .02.

It doesn't matter how big prizewise can potentially be. I've expressed my personal feelings towards it which will remain the same- i more than likely won't use it because i don't like raffles.
Ebay is a humongous company but i don't have the patience to sit there and bid and the result is- i've never used it before. Harley Davidson is also huge and see's alot of profit but if you don't like motorcycles, guess what, you won't buy it. My feelings on whether this company (with its current offerings) will benefit me as a buyer are independant of its popularity or growth potential.

I still recognised it as a good investment, this is what i said- "I do however see it as being a good investment". Am i as exciting as you over this? Definately not.

I understand you believe firmly in this company and thats great. The rest of the world is entitled to their own opinion so please don't advise me or any other person to 'think differently' and/or change our personal feelings on a matter because you've bought a couple of stocks. Thanks

I am defiantly not trying to change your opinion over the company. I personally dont care.
I agree with you though....if you dont like a company you wont invest in it. Good example with HD. That is one of the reasons Warren Buffet is so succesful is cause he only invest in stuff he understands.
But either way i look at this as a gamble more then anything,

C'mon - let's get real. It's NOTHING like eBay - it's a completely different concept with a totally unique system. The way you buy & sell couldn't be more disimilar. The way you browse items is somewhat similar, but so are all portal sites on the internet like MSN, Yahoo!, Webcrawler, etc. etc.

Comparing eBay and PrizeWise just doesn't work - try them both out, love 'em or hate 'em, have a Coca Cola

They are nothing a like but they are defiantly pushing the fact that they are better then ebay. They will never be better then ebay but i think they have a very unique business model and they have the pockets for advertising and marketing and are allready doing it with commercials and banner ads on Yahoo.com.

They either will get propular or they are going to blow all thier cashflow down the drain with advertising. (like so many .coms)

but the way i looks at it is they have other lines of business to keep them a float. Lets see what happens

I don't know the exact words to this as it has been about an hour since I looked at the SEC filings, but I will say that the company "21st Century Technologies" does not innovate these products for the Homeland Security or either have they developed prizewise.com. Now although, I think prizewise is a very neat and different concept you have to remember that you aren't investing in prizewise.com, but that you are investing in 21st Century Technologies. This company provides money to these businesses, which I b
