Prices in Australia

Hello people i have a friend that is travaelling to Australia.
I know this forum is full of people from Australia, so my questions is : could you give me some prices from Australia, like for example: the bus, metro, a beer, milk, gas, etc etc etc. THe more the better, and thanks a lot in advance!!!

prices in $US

bus, one way trip: $0.96

milk, 1L: $1.69

beer, 375mL: $2.88

gas, 1L: $0.88

big mac: $2.65

any others?

Remember prices do vary from state to state. I travelled to Melbourne once (currently live in Brisbane), and was amazed at the costs of public transport. Easily another $1-2AUD more expensive down south.

looking at the fuel price of .88c mentioned.....I wish. Here in the north of Western Australia (iron ore country) we pay $1.46 p/L. So, prices do very wildly from state to state and from region to region - all in the name of freight costs

We're paying about $1.10 for fuel at the moment!! =(

And beer depends on where you go =P

I pay $1 a pot at the GH (Hotel), $2 at Eureka (Club) and $3.60 at Barwon Club (Hotel). Stupid varied prices!!
