Positive Entrepreneur Quotes

I figure this would be something that would be fun for some people to get active in. And you can comment on quotes. It'd be more fun if you could come up with your own saying. List your quote and what it means (and then of course, credit whoever came up with the positive quote.) I'll start it off with a quote I thought of while I was with my fiance earlier:

"Why work for one person when you can work for a million people?"

What I Mean: This came about earlier when I was watching TV with my fiance and my father in law had a Clint Eastwood movie on. They said on there "Why work for a living when your work kills you." That triggered me somehow to think "why work for one company/person when you can work for thousands of customer's." I thought about this and figured an entrepreneur can make more money doing what they love (with the thought that business isn't targeted to one market/industry) compared to working in one market making less money. Hence the quote "Why work for one person when you can work for a million people?"

One my lecturer encouraged us with;

"When starting a new venture, its not so much risk that exists, it's more of an uncertainty"

- what he meant by that is when we go out and start a new venture, and new meaning there is something different that hasn't been done before. Not necessarily an invention, but just something that is so different from the conventional way of the business, is it isn't so much the risk involved when it comes to starting out, its more uncertainty.

I find this somewhat relieving! lol don't know why!

I think mainly because he was explaining that when you look at the market of the industry your approaching, and there "is no other business like yours" statistics and other findings about other business in the same industry should only be taken lightly!

In my oppinion I agree with both quotes above they are both really great and have inspired me, when i come up with the next great quote of my own i will post it here, great quotes guy's

^^ What does post #7-#10 have to do with the main topic if I can ask... is this what everyone was talking about when they said "many people trying to get their post count up?" 'Em, like I said, it doesn't really make any sense or even stay on topic so therefore cool down on it and stay on topic please.

EDIT: I also understand I said you can comment on the quotes but be serious with your comments, this topic is meant to be a form of inspiration, hopefully you understand what I'm getting at.

^^ What do I think of it: First thing's first, I listen to hip-hop/R&B as well as some rock music... I never really get into country but the song has been out a while (back when I was younger.) My mom listens to country so I've heard it a couple of times... whether the lyrics are right or not... I don't know but kudos on the contribution though.

Now why is this a positive quote... well think about it... I have come across many posts and haven't replied to all... but basically these posts are focused solely on competition and fear and lack and basically they all lead to the fact that people are searching for power and must permit someone else's success to attain that power... and my opinion is that is a selfish and unworthy way to conduct business and go about in daily life...

What is peace?

Is that not power in itself? Is that power not more powerful than anyone can attain through the dog eat dog world of competition and backstabbing that so many believe is 'business'? It is more than power as you are empowering not only yourself but so many others!
