Paid Surveys
So i had some free time this afternoon (lets call it bored time) and so i was just "surfing" and came across one of those many paid surevey popups. So i decided... what the heck...im bored ill research these a little bit more. And... so that is what i did. I looked all the "review" sites i could find for them and i also tried to find real testimonials, etc. But after its all said and done the one that seemed to score the best was a company called http://www.surveyscout.com/
Has anyone had any experience with these market research sites that pay you?
We all know there alot of scam sites out there, but this one and a few others i came across seem very legite and professional and also score high on reviews, etc.
Im going back to school next month... and i hate to admit it but im going to get a part time job because i have horrible party habits . I like to have to much fun as often as possible i guess. On top of it i have invested all my money into my company which is fine with me.
But anyways i was going to get your opinion on these sites and if they are worth it.
I may just sign up sometime in the next few weeks with one of them (ill do some better research) and see if they are worth it and the checks arrive. I can keep you guys informed..
Peace-

i'm not too sure about the one you posted, only because yo uhave to pay to sign up. my rule is, anything you have to pay to sign up for isn't worth it.
two that are totally free to sign up for are surveysavvy.com and gozing.com.
i've had pretty good luck with survey savvy, as have many of my friends. if anyone wants to sign up for it, my referral is: http://www.surveysavvy.com/?id=1316327 (mods, if this isn't allowed, please remove it, just figured i might as well post it since people may want to sign up)

hahah, well by good luck i meant that you really don't have to pay, and that they do send you checks when you ask for them.
as far as what kind of money, you make $3 per survey, and $1 per survey someone you refer does. they used to send me maybe 5-7 per week (not much), but they only take 2-5 minutes each, so i did it.
since the summer started, it has been slow though, maybe like a survey a week. i still do it just so they keep sending them to me, again, since it takes literally a few minutes to do it.

I have actually used surveyscout.com and let me tell you that it isn't all that it is cracked up to be. You have to pay $34, I think, and all you come to is a page full of website links. You then have to go to those pages and sign up for their surveys, which you end up having to wait for them to contact you. I signed up with maybe 10-15 different websites and after a month I still never received notification to take a survey. It was probably less than a month, but I ended up asking for a full refund, which I did get within a couple of days.
I would say to just skip this and move on to something that actually works. I know the excitement of easy money is lingering in front of your nose, but this requires more work than anything, in my opinion.
If you are still curious about this, my next suggestion is to set up an email address only for that stuff because you will probably start getting a lot of junk mail and just in case they send your email address to a third party, you can always delete the email and not worry about it going to your regular address.
I hope this helps.

Something kind of similar, is being a mystery shopper. I read in Wall Street Journal's "Start-up Journal" about a woman who makes $300+ a day to do this, and gets all sorts of other incentives. So, I signed up for 2 she listed, and a few others. I have eaten at a couple of restaurants for free (a couple of times at TGIFridays) and I have done some shops at banks. Although it is not nearly as lucrative as she stated, it is pretty cool. You usually receive good service, as most places know there is going to be a mystery shopper (at least within a certain number of days) and it is fun. One the to look into is getting certified. It costs a little bit of money, but it probably gets you more doors open than I have seen. Goto www.mspa.org and there are all kinds of companies listed there.

First off, don't ever pay for survey info, that is your first clue that it's a scam. That being said there are a few reputable survey companies that have been around for a while. My two favorite are pinecone research, and surveysavvy. I've made over $300 in under a year with survey savvy. They pay up to $40 per survey (usually $5-10 though) and they pay $2 for each survey somebody you refer does, and $1 for any survey done by somebody they refer. Here's a link and a screenshot of my account for the skeptics.

Sounds like alot of these surveys things can be more trouble than good, but with the links you guys provided it helps rule out the hard part of finding someone legit.
As for the Secret shoppers though, haha I love that concept, I might become one for the heck of it!
