    Outsourcing

    Hey Guys,

I've just been wondering lately, how much work is your company outsourcing? Within my company, we're getting so many design requests that we've had to start giving work to external (hope that's an appropriate word) designers. Just thought I'd find out a little bit of information on how others run their companies.

The key is that can turn those referrals into $$. Form a relationship with a local designer/developer whom you can forward work to. This way you can focus on your core activities to your business, and make money on - but not dedicate focus to - these web design referrals.

Outsourcing is a business that trust is the first requirement. Business won't grow if you haven't trusted the company that you're working with. This business has it pros and cons.

I think you have to have an established trust with an outsourced company/freelancer. If the company and or freelancer provides good work keep the relationship healthy. Typically what we do is we work with a company build a relationship and ask them if they will lower prices based on the amount volume we can give them and then pocket the difference.

Outsourcing often eliminates the direct communication between a company and its clients. This prevents a company from building solid relationships with their customers, and often leads to dissatisfaction on one or both sides. There is also the danger of not being able to control some aspects of the company, as outsourcing may lead to delayed communications and project implementation.
Think of the highest peak you can reach, instead of thinking how deep how may have fallen down.

Outsourcing has lots of benefits to any internet marketer, whether small business or not. It's just sometimes, certain areas might need more attention than usual that is why good communication is essential to this.
