    Talking Obstacles entrepreneurs' deal with

    Hello,

My name is Norina and I am currently working at a baby company called iMatter which is based in Michigan. Our company's main focus is helping entrepreneurs and business people bring clarity to their lives in order to identify the paths needed to take towards career success. I'm currently doing research in order to better define our message in order to help entrepreneurs.

I was wondering what types of obstacles entrepreneurs' face as they embark on their journey towards establishing their companies and ideas in the business world?

    What are your fears?
What in specific affected you as you started up a new company or idea?
Looking back, what do you think could have helped you to move through a difficult period?
What do you know now, that you wish you knew before?
What were personal dilemmas you faced?

If anyone could please answer some of these questions that would be great. I look forward to any and all responses.

I feel like I could write a book on your post alone, so I'll try to keep it short.

The biggest obstacle that any entrepreneur ever faces is themselves. More specifically, their ego. That negative self talk has driven more $1,000,000 ideas into the ground than any 'outside' factors ever have. You asked about what are our fears... Our ego has the ability to turn anything into a fear, if we are allowing.

Another significant challenge is that most entrepreneurs are not working with the right tools. There are many simple, duplicatible businesses that anyone can begin building for under $500! I spent over a decade trying to refine "My Idea" and do it all myself because I thought everyone had to blaze their own path to be successful. I have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars in setting up businesses that never were able to grow without increased effort from me... Dealing with inventory, finding financing, accounts payable, receivable, renting space, etc. Once I found the right tool, a simple system that anyone can create massive wealth with, everything is now simply focused on growth.

My last comments are regarding focus. This ties in with the previous paragraph in many regards, but also is about the fact that many entrepreneurs are working on several "business ideas" at the same time. Also, if an entrepreneur is trying to work a full time job for survival's sake, how much time or energy are they left with to focus on their business? It wasn't until I took a proverbial leap of faith, and decided to let go of my safety net (quit my day job) that my business really began to grow. But look out! This is where those fears, and that negative self talk can pipe up, and convince us to go back to our safety net before we allow our business to truly work for us.

That is the goal.... Our businesses work for us... Not the other way around, right?
