Now that Obama has won, what effect do you think it will have on business and trade as a whole?

I believe for most entrepreneurs, the outlook will remain the same.

Nobody, huh? This is essentially the same post of "Obama is President", but a day earlier.

I think that if, in fact, we have to pay healthcare...then we have to pay healthcare. If taxes are raised...then taxes are raised (it takes money to make money).

Can't sit back and cry about it. Adapt (if needed) and keep moving forward.

So, I'm with you on this one. It will stay the same.

What do you mean, "It will stay the same?!" If small businesses are forced to pay healthcare, just as with increased minimum wages, we'll be forced to lay employees off. Increased unemployment doesn't sound like staying "the same" to me, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

My wife and I have had success in our business but not as much as our mentor who consistently makes a large sum of money each month. We're somewhat new at the business, so we're getting there.

Anyway, my mentor who I mentioned earlier who makes a good bit of money each month, he knows that the tax increases to "spread the wealth" around are only a slight concern. He's still going to make a good bit of money and he's smart enough to invest it in the right places.

Well, we both know that he isn't going to be great for small business with his tax plan, but your success is up to YOU, not anyone else. We still live in the greatest country ever, with the greatest opportunities ever. If you cannot succeed, it isn't anyone elses fault. Bottom line, you're responsible for your success and the amount of income you bring in.

You have to think this way or you will have expectations of others that at some point will fall apart, as a matter of fact, they can't be fulfilled.

    So, that's what I think.

I agree. Who cares if I work hard for my money, harder and harder so that more and more gets taken to be simply GIVEN to those who are lazy, find it easier to sit on their asses and not work than go get a job and contribute to the economy, to this great country. Who cares if I have to lay off employees. Who cares if I have to take a second job. Who cares that this is all because the "American Dream" is constantly harder and harder to attain because people want to do nothing but receive handouts based on my hard work. Who cares that the "haves" now owe something to the "have nots" because otherwise it's not "FAIR," regardles of how hard we worked, or how much we sacrificed to get where we are. Who cares, right?!
