    Need Personal Advice

    Hey everyone,

I need some personal advice on a job i'm currently working for.

    Here is the situation:
I am a private contractor for Pinnacle Security. Its suppose to be a company with great pay. And it does. But the you have to hit all the criteria on the contracts that you get to get your full commission. For me, its about $300 a contract. But I only get $125 up front if I meet all the criteria. The rest I get on my back end when my employment contract is up. But thats not till December.

I honestly feel like i'm getting screwed because it is really hard to hit the criteria with you clients. They have to have an A or B credit rating but i'm in lower class neighborhoods. So it common for me to find people with no credit or really bad credit which automatically takes $100 dollars of my backend. And thats just the start.

I'm already in the hole with this company -$310 which I will owe unless I make more sales.

I'm really contiplating leaving and cutting my loses or sticking it out.

    What do you all think?
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us."

I hate to give such a vague and unhelpful answer, but in the end this is really a personal choice. The best I can do is give you a few different things to consider so you can hopefully come to a conclusion on your own.

    Ask yourself these questions:

    1. Do you have the right skill-set for this job? Do you believe you can succeed?
    2. Do you enjoy the work you do and are the pay/benefits worth it?
    3. Is the market for your job good or bad right now? Are a lot of people at your level in this career making money or losing it?
    4. What other job would you consider moving to? How quickly could you find one? Are you more likely to enjoy that job or this one?

    Best of luck.

    P.s.

Also, if you do like the job but you just feel you're struggling at it, consider asking a co-worker who seems to have better luck what his or her method is. Or, rent a book from your local library on the topic of sales ( or whatever it is you do specifically ). There may be some good tips that will really help you out.
