I am using mpyre communications as such right now offering people the chance to be a "web designer" for no startup cost and only profits.....but for some reason it doesnt seem to be working...any suggestions?

I kno that was alittle off topic sry
Thanks!

If you want to start a business that gives others their own chance, then do all of the nitty gritty work for them. It could be basically consulting, they present their idea, you tell them how to setup a virtual office, setup their web site, file their legal fees, etc. a small course on how to run the businness, get them on their feet. It seems like a lot of people are in the position to run the business, but not start it. exhibit a: My friend is a photographer and works a 9-5 as a photographer, and wants to start his own photography business but doesn't know how to start, so he stays at his job. exhibit b: My uncle wanted to start a self storage company, and continued to dream about doing so but never took action because it was too "daunting".

Some sort of entrepreneur/small biz consulting business sounds good to me.

It's Orkut she's on, it's owned by Google but the rumours are they'll scrap it in favour of another platform.

I bloody well hope so. And I think it's more than likely. Friendster sort of invented the field (or at least popularised it), MySpace came along and whooped their butts, and it's likely that the same will happen to them.

Well, whatever the next "MySpace" is, it will probably combine both stationary and mobile (PC / cellular device). The problem is, so many people already established themselves on MySpace and probably don't want to switch to another service.

This is the first time I have heard of them. I looked them up and read some articles, they are getting some negative press.

I'm not so sure. Friendster had a massive audience (for the period they launch) and were considered the biggest there way.

Interesting how the internet has the power to foster worldwide trends.

www.orkut.com

i believe its owned by google.. anyway it was created in US and for some reason it just got huge in brazil (65% of the members are brazilians) and it has over 20million members. I always thought about why it was such a great hit in brazil and not elsewhere.

once i read in a majour brazilian paper that people used information on orkut to select kidnapping victims and plan how to kidnap them..

it is a pretty decent community though.. specially if you speak portuguese..
