my opinion on looking for a factory in China

The B2B websit is big help. Big threes as the following --
Alibaba.com - The world's largest online B2B marketplace. (En and CN)
globalsoures.com (EN and CN)
Made-in-China.com China manufacturer directory, China products, China suppliers, China trade, China factory (EN and CN)

for buyer, you can register a free member only. that's enough. but if you need factory trust you, you have to buy a membership. as a free member, you can post your buying list and limited selling list in it.
i think you can receive lots quotation weekly. but, please make sure they are trick or not. their Certificate license is needed. you can fly to China for Biz, but flying to china for a small order is impossible.
anyway, before order, you should know the factory you do Biz with.

it's evey interesting. a small town, but lot factories doing same thing.
like yangjiang city guangdong. the city not big, but they specialise in stainless, such as knife, pot and so on.

like shiling town in guangzhou city, about 40% of PU handbag china-made export from here, it's crazy??
