These specs are little excessive unless your doing heavy 3d animation and video editing.

The specs are nice but I would honestly consider getting a desktop if your spending that much, unless you need pure mobility.

16gb of ram? That's insane! Even if you were running 4 virtual machines, 8 gb would be fine.

    Sick specs man.

hahahaha this laptop would mince meat of google maps.

so unless you need to proccess pictures for a living this laptop is for to much for word doc and business planning.

    get something around

    2.5ghz
    4g ram
    8600 256mb video
    300g hdd 7200rpm

but hey if you got the cash buy the one listed as its a monster would last 30min on battery.

    sigh

    Vista is reliable, Get it.

Its more reliable than XP. If you have a new system, get it. If you have a 3 year old system, dont. Simple.

I wouldn't spend money on a 16GB RAM, 500GB Hard Drive computer with a 1GB Nvidia graphics card. Its excessive, especially for right now, when you wouldn't need those specs. Soon in the future we probably will, but not now. Like dmetcalf50 said, if you are in 3D animations and need the specs, then it is one amazing computer, but if not, i wouldn't recommend spending the money. Electronics aren't good investments anyway.
