    My New Business

    Hi,

I am totally new to the entrpreneurial thing as I am just out of school. I just started my first business which is online and I am really looking for feedback on the idea: www.getmooh.com

I would really appreciate hearing what people think about and how it works, as well all constructive criticism about the site etc...

Looking forward to hearing from somebody....

    Antonia

its neat been seeing diff. variations on that idea popping up lately. What are your plans with the list you're building? I am guessing thats how you plan to profit off this. Also they should be able to text in a code number and get a call like 10 mins later.

For list building it'll work...other then that its just something fun for about 10 minutes

Antonia, the quality of business is defined by cashflow

I think you have a wonderfully quirky product, but you're not making money

Peter Rip offers his thoughts on the subject http://earlystagevc.typepad.com/earl...ss_model_.html

I will make two points to try to be encouraging in my own weird way:

    1) Don't be afraid. All entrepreneurs (pretty much) have a fear of sales. That's just a natural thing. But I hope that you may quickly overcome this apprehension and hit the market with a very expensive product that customers love as much as you do.

    2) Stick with it. Ventures develop non-linearly. What you're doing now will turn into a great business eventually as you move along your sales leaning curve and find a commercial opportunity for your product. You're gonna end up doing something completely different to what you're selling now and it's gonna be great.

This happens to everyone. It happened to Google. It's just happened with Riya.com, it's happened with me and it'll happen to you.

    Keep up the good work

    Feedback

    Dear David,

Thanks for the support. I have always thought about it that way. The biggest things on the web seem to have developed in highly unexpected ways. I have a whole battery of commercial ideas on how to generate income (especially since it costs me money as is) but I don't want to do anything petty or cheap. I am not really fascinated in list building for its own sake. There are a lot of extensions to the service that may be extremely useful for business or individual use for which i could charge. I am sort of waiting to see how people use the service first though...

mPyreDzirez: I know what you're saying. I've been thinking just that way for weeks but all the same I can't help feeling that the second wave on this will generate a lot of good ideas. People are so hard to second guess...

I've seen something similar to this www.popularitydialer.com
If you want to be rich, sell products and services.
If you want to be insanely rich, create and control markets.
I must create a system or be enslaved by another mans; I will not reason and compare: my business is to create.

    Haha thats amazing...it actually works!!

Any ideas on how to profit from it? Does it cost you much to make the calls? (Edit: Nevermind, I should have read your post first :P)

    Good luck!

    1. We won't be spamming - we also changed our T&C to be nicer about that over the weekend

    2. We had some problems N-James so I hope your call went through. We seem to have got them fixed now!!
