    My first big sale!!!!!

I've been working on my business on and off for a few years now, but just in the past 9 months or so I have really gotten some stuff accomplished. I haven't really done any advertising (other than free stuff) and I still was managing to make a few sales here and there. I was probably averaging $100-$200 per month.

A few months ago I had a guy from an online university email me asking for bulk prices and if we could customized one of our products to include his logo and info. Of course I told him yes and I sent him some bulk prices. He emailed me back and said he really liked the prices and that he would get his graphic design team working on it. He said he should have it to me by the end of that week. Fast forward about three months later to today, I finally received his final order. He had originally talked about ordering 3000 units, but today to my great surprise, he ended up ordering 10,000 units!

This is a $45,400 sale! By far my biggest ever. I'm so excited. This will allow me to have somewhat of a budget now. Now I have to get my butt going to fill the order.

I just had to share this. This is my first big step with my business

My website is in my sig. I sell training products for Police, Fire, EMS and Dispatchers to help them communicate with Spanish-speaking individuals. This university wanted to take my quick reference card books, add another full card on top with all of their information, and then hand it out to criminal justice prospective students.

I did think about that, I just wasn't sure how much of a demand there would be for other languages. It will probably be something I get into once I have developed a few more products and have the time to research what other languages would have the demand for the products.

Make sure it's obvious who your products come from... and look at the word of mouth!

10,000 is a lot mate, good job.

By the way, to help your image more your logo and site could do with a re-design. I mean no offence, this is a place for honest, constructive advice.

The logo and website are both 'hey, look what I learnt in my free time' in their look. Sitepoint.com is a great place to get things done, my site design and logo was done in their contest area and for US$500 for the lot it's great value.
