Moto Q vs. Blackberry
My company made the switch from Moto Q to Blackberry 8830 today, and my jury is still out on the Blackberry. I liked the Moto Q. I found it to be intuitive and easy to use. It did seem to have it's troubles making the initial call connection, but other than that is was an an outstanding device.
My main observation is that the Moto Q had a camera, which proved very useful when the need arose, and I could download the pictures to my computer via USB cable. The version of the Blackberry I have has no camera.
Also, I liked that the Moto Q had an option for viewing the PC version of a web page. I have not figured out how to do that yet with the Blackberry. And the Moto Q seemed to have better picture resolution.
Otherwise they seem pretty comparable machines.
So the question is, do you like the Moto Q or the Blackberry better, and why?

Depends on the model.
I have a Blackberry Pearl. While I opted for this model because it is easier to slip into a pocket, I found that it is more difficult to use and will be switching up to a larger model soon.
I haven't used a Moto Q, so I can't speak to that.

J,
I have a BBerry 8700c, and at first I was bummed about the size as I saw the pearls coming out and the Q etc. But, after looking a some friends who have the smaller models, I can't get the feel for the roller ball nor viewing spreadsheets or large attachments on the small screen. Yes, it makes me a little self conscious having what looks like a Colt .45 on my hip is really my phone, but it gets the job done.
Best,
G

I have the Q and love it. It has a simple interface and works great. My wife has a BB and I think it is horrible in every way (at least for my needs).
The only thing that I'm not happy with is that I'm on Alltel and it doesn't allow for an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.0 like T-Mobile and some of the other carriers do.
I wouldn't switch to a BB from my Q. I'm really happy with Windows Mobile. If I switch phones it'll be to another similar phone that uses WM.

I am currently using the BlackBerry 8320 and I love it. Now I understand why people like the Moto Qs especially since it runs on windows, but I have had my fair share with Mobile Windows, especially when I was using the MDA/Wing. So I decided to give BB a try and I absolutely love it, and I can get what I need to make the experience at least comprable if not better on my phone, in my opinion. I will definantly be getting another blackberry when time comes around.
The debate will go on tho, because my ex-gf has a moto q.... something else for us to disagree on lol

I have a Palm Treo 755p and I absolutely love it. It has every possible feature I could need or want and I haven't had a single problem with it. The phone is the perfect size, the buttons are easy to tap, has a touch screen, great apps installed, and it is awesome. I highly recommend it.

8830 vs. Q ... 8830 hands down. It's inter operable between networks (GSM / CDMA), has BES email push, and a very customizable interface. Performance wise, I would still vouch for the blackberry. The keys on the BB are a quite close together, and it is a slightly thicker device.
Q is a windows based device, however i am not sure what can be done on a Q that can't be performed on a BB. The Q did have more developed ms office products, but now the blackberry has that package.
Both very nice devices, but in my opinion there's no comparison between the 8830 and a Q. BB's were built primarily for email, but recently they're tailoring the voice customers with more intuitive devices.
