    Mo' money, Mo' problems

It's interesting to me that some wealthy people state that with more money comes more problems. Well In that case, I would like to be signed up for that that becuase if had money I can't imagine having more problems, besides choosing which family members to give it all to, and which non-profit organization I would found. I guess they mean that if you have a 1 million dollar salary, then you have 1 million dollar habits.

You can't achieve your goals if you don't take that chance so go pry open your trunk and take those amps.

It's impossible to say something like this, because it is impossible to say what you would do or feel in a hypothetical scenario. It's almost like telling yourself you would feel one way or another on a political issue if you belonged to another race. Since you've never experienced the other side, it's impossible to know what factors contribute to your outlook and, in this case, whether money would make you happy.

Even though I would love to have more money, what would I really do with the money? A new car, a new house. Then what? You might tell me a few other things you'd do with the money. Then what? You get to a point where you are spending money for the sake of spending money.

More money = More taxes to pay. I think the saying goes the wealthiest 20% of America pay 80% of the taxes. Income tax, payroll tax, sales tax, property tax, and many more (I'm not great with this tax stuff) all cost money. Most likely, with all these taxes you also have an Accountant you have to pay to sort it all out for you. Business owners also have to pay their employees, building costs, storage costs (if extra inventory is needed), loans they take out for their business, other business expenses (trucks & gas for example), and Lawyers for legal issues as it is not uncommon to have to deal with numerous frivolous lawsuits when you own a business. Also, the more money you make, the more likely you are to begin associating with other affluent people who are making around the same income levels, so automatically you have to "keep up with the Jones'" should you wish. Also with more money, people assume you have "extra' to share and its not uncommon to have to deal with family needing you to bail them out of their own messes. More money can definitely be more problems, especially when others know you have it. But then again- it can be easier in some ways too, I guess. Anywhoo- thats just my opinion. Just playing "devils advocate". I'm sure someone more knowledgeable and experienced can expand on this.

I know a number of people that are intensely wealthy.
Sure, they don't have the stress of the daily grind like regular schlubs, but they often have intense family and social problems, pressures from running their businesses (or even just boredom from not running enough of it due to all the accountants and lawyers) often leads to substance abuse, and they feel hollow because they thought money would solve their problems but it hasn't and they don't know what else to do.

I'm rather well to do,and am working enough to be comfortable.
I have no desire to work harder for more money, just so that I can have a bigger house or a nicer car.
A bigger house would just be empty, unless I filled it with crap I don't need (or particularly want).
A more expensive car just means one more thing I have to worry about. If I want to get about the place, my station wagon is good. If I want some speed thrills, I've got a bike.
Holidays to exotic locations might be nice, but I get bored if I relax too much, and those exotic locations don't have my friends in them.

Im 22 years old. I started up a business when i was 20 when i was dirt poor and am making well over 100k a year now. I can clearly tell you my life has not got much better happiness wise. I have a huge house now, i bought my self a nice sports car. I' have 3 employees working under me. Money DOES NOT BUY YOU HAPPINESS!. I have friends of mine just regular college students who are poor beyond belief and i can tell you they're lives are lot less stress full and happier than mine. More money you got the more you have 2 worry how to keep the income steady, If you get a large sum of money its eventually going to be used up, you constantly have to find new ways to increase your capital. Your expenses are ridiculous. I went from having just maybe $500-600 a month in expenses when i was in college to well over $10000-15000 a month. Few bad months can pretty much cripple me so i always have to be on top of my game. Im always working/stressed. So i guess there's ur answer? If i won the lottery or my parents just gave me a bunch of $$ my life would be lot easier i suppose? But a true entrepreneur will always be working...
