Mike "The Situation" from the Jersey Shore

Okay so, I know we're not allowed to post links in threads, but I have been here so long and want to share my thoughts with everyone on something.

digg.com/d31H7fZ - Here is an article we did on Mike "The Situation" and how people hate on him, but it does not matter to Mike because of his confidence. He continues to be himself even though others bash him all the time for it. He is not afraid to be different. This attitude is the attitude entrepreneurs need to have.

Its an article with a little twist on it. Let me know what you guys think!

Mike "the situation" from Jersey Shore

Good post and nice points made by Mike.
Its similar in the entrepreneurial world as I see your parallel here.
You can't let the naysayers get in the way of your dreams and passions, you need to go full throttle and prove it to yourself. There will always be negative people and your level of confidence will be tested in many 'situations' as an entrepreneur. I think Mike 'the situation' summed it up quite well here from your post (even though it comes off as a bit arrogant, he gets his point across):

What about those who call you a tool?

“I don’t point fingers at anybody. That’s not the type of person I am. Whatever you have you should be proud of it. I don’t worry about all the negativity. I could care less. All I say to those people is, ‘Go pick up a magazine cover and see me on it.’ They are just jealous. I’m on almost every channel. I’m on all these talk shows. Anybody who talks trash is just jealous.”

Thanks. Yea I agree completely with your points. As much as the guy is arrogant and cocky, he does what he does no matter what people say.

In business, people get too caught up with the opinions of others an in essence, get lost along the way. People may think you're an idiot, have a bad idea, etc., but your success will speak for itself.

How many business owners and inventors have people said that their ideas are stupid? I think this happens all the time. So maybe him acting this way is how he expresses things so he doesn't listen to others because they are all debbie downers? Many people are jealous of him right now so him having this attitude kind of seems like the best way ....but thats just might thoughts. Never listens to anyone that doesn't think you can make it. Don't even waste your time on them.

The people that don't think you can make it are usually jealous. Good points ar887. I agree. The thing is people get so caught up in other opinions leading to their failure. Keep fighting and you'll win.
