    Question Math Question - 0 and 1

    Okay, here is something to do all you math geniuses out there on YE.

    how many discrete random variable numbers are between 0 and 1, if any, and if you can list them, which ones are they?

    it can get out of control, you can go from 0.00000000001 to whatever number smaller than 1.0.

    This was a joke, i just wanted to mess with you'all.

    I believe 0.99...99 would equal 1, though not 1.00...00.

    And as the topic starter said 1 and not 1.00...00 the answer must be 0.99..999

    I am not a math genius just this is a "paradox" in maths. the 0.99...999 should simulate 0. followed by an eternity of 9's equal one.

    any variable number, whether it is 1 or 999, always has .0, in this case, 1 = 1.0, and 999 = 999.0, even though i didn't put 1.0, so 1 is still 1.0, or 1.00 for that matter.
