    Market Analysis

Hey guys, Im trying to find out how frustrated college students are about certain situations. I believe I can convert this into a lucrative business opportunity. Now I want to find out just how badly the students will need my services. I was planning on setting up a survey but if i distribute it on paper, I don't think I can reach too many students. I want to set up an online survey with incentives such as winning an ipod or an xbox 360 to complete the survey. These aren't ideas I'm really excited about. If any of you can think of a better suggestion, I would really appreciate it.

English please? Can you be more specific? Online survey with give aways are hard to pull off these days as people have had to deal with to many scams for too long. If you are currently in school why dont you set up a table in one of your halls and have people fill them out in person and then do a live give away. You might have a much smaller sample base but you can do this fairly cheap. This would give you a guide to maybe expand by hiring a professional survey company if your little test works out.

Thats a good point. I figured that with an online survey I might broaden my reach but it does seem it is best to start small. Thanks for your advice. I'll probably come on looking for more.

I'd say your best bet is to actually show up at a few college campuses with a stall, and a laptop running the survey (less time doing data entry that way), with the promotional item (or it's box at least) on a stand next to it.

This generates some visible presence on that campus, and people will notice you.

When it comes 4-5pm, pack everything back into your car, but then put up some flyers on the community notice boards with your website. People who didn't fill out the survey will notice them and remember you were there, and are therefore more inclined to go and fill it out.

Make sure everyone that fills it out has some sort of check data that works as a UID, such as mobile phone number. This prevents people from entering numerous times, unless they figure out how to stuff the UID.
Also, don't tell them what the UID is...

I got the answer for you already, ...

    Beer.

Whatever the question, it's always the same answer in college, Beer. Ok, some prefer mixed drinks, or fruity drinks with umbrellas, but it's all alcohol. Well, that and sex, but mostly alcohol.

Earning a degree often comes second to the "college experience". Of course you need the degree, cause according to some, life ends after 21 (cause everything is legal after that) And you need a good job to live comfortably till you die.

It's really a bunch of hooey. If you ask me, a person doesn't know the difference between their ass and a whole in the ground till they are 25. That doesn't mean they aren't professional and knowledgeable about their job, but they don't understand how the world works till they have paid their own bills and made all of their own decisions for a couple of years. Some people never get it. For these people the answer was and will always be... Beer.
Conservative opinions from someone who thinks a little differently than most.
