    Mark Cuban

    Hi-
After finishing watching Miami win in basketball, I have to share my dislike for Mark Cuban.

What do you think of him? I think he is one of the luckiest man alive, in any other world he'd be sweeping the floor of the courts!

    typical story.

mark did enough deals. let statistics work for him. got lucky, and returned a great deal of money to his shareholders.

he's good at what all good entrepreneurs are good at.

Mavs should have won just like game 3...d-wade is crazy and the heat had to win this last game at home to have any kind of a shot at winning the series. they better think of game 6 as a must win too cuz game 7's almost always go to the home team.

i dont personally like mark cuban, but i bet he is one of those guys you hate until you play for his team.

Yeah, I believe he made a killing (billions) when he and his partners sold their internet company and then he bought the Mavericks just for fun. Pretty sure he 's on the list for richest people in the world.

Broadcast.com was his big money maker. You have to respect the guy. I have met him and seen several stories on him. He sold garbage bags door to door to help get money for college. He is one of those guys that has been hustling to get a buck since he could.

Besides owning the Mavs, he helped start HDNet, which was one of the first dedicated HD channels. He is also working on developing movies with a production company he started. Even though he made 1 billion by selling broadcast, he just kept right on going.

My favorite story was when he said the head of NBA refs wasn't fit to manage a dariy queen. DQ then challenged him to manage a store for a day. He agreed without question. Also, whenever he is fined by the NBA, he gives an equal amount to charity. So far that has been over $1 million since he bought the Mavs.

I can see why people may not like him, but you gotta respect him.

"Cuban and fellow Indiana alum Todd Wagner still eagerly followed their college basketball team, and conceived the idea of broadcasting live games and events through the Internet. They began Audionet in 1995 with a single Packard Bell server and ISDN line, which became Broadcast.com in 1998. They achieved success by broadcasting sporting and corporate events much less expensively than with existing leased lines. By 1999, Broadcast.com had grown to 330 employees and annual revenues close to $100 million. With the stock market now in the midst of the Dot-com boom, Cuban was able to sell the company to Yahoo! for $5.7 billion in stock. After the sale, Cuban hedged his position in Yahoo in an attempt to avoid exposure to a market crash.[1] According to Forbes, Cuban is reportedly worth $1.8 Billion."

Yeah - he writes in it once or twice a week, depending on what he feels like doing. He was actually fined for one of his earlier blog postings criticizing the refs.

It was during the Spurs series.

He can be a baby, but he is as open as any sports owner I have ever heard of.
