Just my two cents.

I agree wit you jgbaylon, 97% want the rewards without the effort.
Most do not have a clue of what it takes in time to develop a business online or off.
I joined "an internet get rich quick scam as others put it" and make a good living from it with a super product.
Did it happen over night...NO! Did it take a considerable amount of effort and money to promote...YES!
I was able to get a quick start which was a stroke of luck and a lot of sweat equity to finance further advertising.
Is it consistently growing...Yes! Do the people at the top make all the money ...No, as it is not MLM. This is what most fail to comprehend.
It is networking...YES and that is what you must do to promote any business.
Also as with any business, it is your baby and you must tend to it if you wish to succeed.
There are many scams with promises on the net however, there are excellent opportunities to earn an income from home.
You must due some serious DD before you become involved, as with any business. AND IT REQUIRES WORK! You cannot sit back on your butt and expect to make money. I don't care what any one promises, it requires effort. You can't poke at it with a stick and hope to move forward.
It really depends on you and how passionate you are in your endeavors.
I've built traditional businesses and online businesses and all require a good bit of time. You know what though...if your having fun (passion) you don't mind.
Now there are those that sky rocket to the top of any program, but they put their time, money and effort into developing a data base over the years. They never quit though, even after all the heartbreaks.
As far as the figures quoted on failures that applies to most businesses.
