    Look for in a College

I know this depends on the person but id like to know what everyone looked or looks for in a college they want to attend. I am currently wrapping up my junior year of high school and still am unsure about my college choice. So if you could share your opinion it would be much appreciated, want to get a degree in business or entrepreneurship or some time of finance.

I can't speak for others but I chose my school base on the following factors (in no particular order):

    1. One of the strongest engineering programs
    2. The best entrepreneurship experience
    3. Massive connections with entrepreneurs, VCs, etc...
    4. Prestige
    5. Weather and culture of the school itself
    6. Location
    7. The specific level of networking available compare to other schools
    8. Education in the sense of diversity and a broader range of available courses not available anywhere else

    Things I didn't care about:

    1. Price
    2. Education in the sense that since most entrepreneurs here don't think school is necessary to succeed and it isn't but there are advantages to being in school (listed above)
    3. Degree

    Nickbaker:

I'm a sophomore in college majoring in Econ/Finance. The things I looked for were:

    - Economics/Finance/International Business & Relations program (whatever your major/concentration is)
    - Location (in my case I needed a city)
    - Size (I chose smaller class sizes over large lectures, but sometimes large lectures are the only option for required courses)
    - Cost (I started at a community college but I'm transferring to a 4-year so I don't have a huge student loan when I'm done)
    - Networking/alumni opportunities
    - University brand (top <20)
    - Culture/diversity (I sought a liberal, international student body)
    - Rigor of academics (wanting to constantly challenge myself beyond my current level)
