    Leaving The Nest

Names Jordan, and I have something big on my chest. Im 20 years old and I want to leave home like now. I've quit my job here in houston which only pays me 8.50/hr i make about 1400/monthly, I'll be leaveing there next tuesday. I want to move to austin, out of the city and work for a couple years while I develope my forex trading skill and business ideas AWAY from where I've been for so long, I just feel like it's time to let go.

I'm paying all my bills now the only thing i'm not paying for is room and electricty, which will be a pretty decent amount on my own I'm thinking 800/monthly is about what I'll need to make extra to be on my own. I've been applying to high paying office and assistant jobs in austin to no avail. I just don't know what to do, but I know it's time to leave.

I'll put my resume up here which isn't all that great, just to see what you guys think.

There's a difference between wanting to leave and ready to leave... The last thing you want to do is have to crawl back to the 'rents because you weren't ready.

Don't let your emotions get the best of you. The best decisions are made with a steady mind - you can produce calculated decisions better. I live with my parents, I am 24. I save, save, save, save & I am very frugal. My goal is to keep investing! I plan to be here until I can sense the real estate market turn lower. Until then, I am buying time.

If it is at all possible, I would stay with your parents and go to a community college and at least get an associates in anything really. A lot of people will higher you based on the fact that you just have a degree. They don't care what its for often times, they just like to see that you have that kind of devotion.

I say take your time before you jump. Secure a job that pays well and is secure and then slowly but surely make your move. Good luck
