Kiva.org - Improve Quality of Life and Loan to Entrepreneurs in 3rd World Countries

If you haven´t checked this out yet, you should.

"We let you loan to the working poor Kiva lets you connect with and loan money to unique small businesses in the developing world. By choosing a business on Kiva.org, you can "sponsor a business" and help the world's working poor make great strides towards economic independence. Throughout the course of the loan (usually 6-12 months), you can receive email journal updates from the business you've sponsored. As loans are repaid, you get your loan money back."

So far there has been a repayment rate of 100% according to the article on pbs.

Yes, we have discussed Kiva in previous threads.
    Great nonprofit.
I have a couple investments currently on there. All my borrowers have made repayments so far.

    $325 for a toaster and a blender

Sh1t, for $325 you can have like 10 really hot third world girls do your bidding for at least a week - now that's what I call ROI. Why waste it on a toaster and blender?
