You know if you really think about it, thinking about money is'nt bad at all. Almost every person in the world works 1/3 of there life for money, just to live alright. The other 1/3 of there life they have to sleep and get dont get much out of that. So then they only really live 1/3 of their life. I say keep thinking about money, make it the easy way and enjoy your life.

Exactly, you get old and can't enjoy the money. I would much rather make the money while I am young and retire early, hense why I am desperately thinking about it all the time.

Hi Josh,

Dreaming of having lots of money is in fact not bad. In some ways it will help you stay motivated in reaching your dreams.

What's bad is that you'll waste your time "just" thinking of how to earn money instead of actually making it.

I suggest you to think first what is it that you really want. Then think of the most possible and well positive thing that you can do so you'll be able to get what you wanted most.

Anyways you're still young, you have all the time in the world. Just believe in yourself and just like what my favorite line from the novel "The Alchemist"--- "Wherever your heart is, there you'll find your treasure."

Cheer up!

Hi.
I am 18 years old and absolutely obsessed with money, my life basically revolves around making money. I spend 80% of my day thinking up new ways to make money. Is anyone else here the same?

Hi, Obsession is horrible, and you won't succeed with just the drive for money,
if your just interested in money (Mc Gregor , Theory X) then you won't fulful any ambitions like self esteem etc

If you love business for all what it offers then you have more of a chance,

like there is more to business than money,

'And, no matter how much money you have, it will never be enough.'

No it will never be enough, as were all entrepreneurs we all strive to be competitive and to be competitive we need money,

and do you think money will stop bill gates bringing out Vista or the next big OS nope, its mainly his competitivness and love for business

lol thats funny because i'm 18 and i thought i was the only abnormal one of my friends banging out biz ideas. being stuck in the typical 9-5 job slaving my life for some corporation does not appeal to me. its not so much the money that i'm obsessed with as much as the freedom to pursue what i really want to do with a lot of $$$

"Greed is Good." - Gordon Gekko

If people worn't Greedy we would probably not have half the technological advances that we currently have. Don't dis people for being Greedy, its ok to be Greedy, its what some people do because of their Greed that is bad. Greed itself is good, it drives people.

gekko was a satire on the excesses of the 80's

the movie explored how the greed of an individual adversely affects communities (the acquisition targets employees, in this case)

greed it self has a ying/yang quality to it

it motivates companies towards expantion and job creation, in the same way that it motivates managers to act in their own interests, which are contrary to those of the company

when you guys make it big, you'll see exactly what this means

your shareholders are gonna be pressuring you to keep costs minimal, whilst you are gonna be writting your self ever increasing bonuses
