    Interview/questions

If you could ask an inspiring entrepreneur a series of questions, what would you ask and why?

I think you need to ask about their personal experience, because they all end up being so different.

I'd ask about their ideas. What took them from Couch Jockey to starting up a company. Where the drive comes from, and where theirs started with said company.

I think I'll let them tell their story on how they made it big in their businesses.

It would depend on why you were asking them questions. If it was just for your personal edification, then I'd have them tell their story. If I was looking for a business partner I would ask 1)about their dreams, goals, ambitions and 2) as mentioned above, I'd ask about what they had done in the past. This will be the best indicator of what they will do in the future. Be prepared however to hear the good, bad and ugly and weight it appropriately. As many know, if you were to interview Colonel Sanders this way, he would tell you about the bankrupties he went through. Knowing the final outcome though, we may not want to dismiss this hard driver because of that...his legacy lives on today as one of the most recognized Americans.

I would ask that particular person what he/she had realized while having run his/her business? What difficulties they have gone through all those times that they've started and maintained their own businesses? That would be an interesting question to ask.

I would ask them to give an overview of their entrepreneurial story, and then I would ask the most important question you can ask an entrepreneur in my opinion....and that's what challenges did they face on their journey, and HOW did they overcome these challenges.

Everyone knows the common entrepreneurial challenges. But it would be interesting to see how different folks overcame the challenges in different ways.

My question would be "how can you prove your sincerity with your company if your best friend is against that?"
