Hi,

I've been running a home-based business for about 3.5 years now.

Currently live in the NOVA area.

Travel to China/Hong Kong every 6 months to scope new products & get new business ideas. Have suppliers & contacts in the far east.

My main site is www.toptechimports.com
We sell everything from Car Monitors, DVD Players, MP3/MP4 Players to USB cables & key chains.

I also invest in mutual funds & daytrade stocks.

Looking to meet real entrepreneurs who have goals & plans to get wealthy by the end of this decade.

I'm in the metro area as well (up near columbia MD) but commute to DC a lot. Honestly, i havent found TOO much information i can use here. A lot of good ideas but so far (and no offense guys) but it's a lot of people with little internet website exp. who want to start websites with ideas that just dont work anymore. I do see a lot of ambition though.

Either way, I own part of CV ent LLC out of towson MD. Basically a web based company coming out with our site in about 2 weeks. So far im one of a very few that actually did it right. Solid new idea, with finicial backing etc.

As for investing, I would LOVE to get into it. I'm currently a newlywed with a new house so investing takes a back burner.

I live in Arlington, VA, but I'm originally from Bethesda MD.

I do a little bit of securities investing, but generally I buy and resell hard assets, primarily vehicles. I get into all sorts of other stuff too though, and am generally up to hear about anything.

I'm definitely more of a brick-and-mortar guy in regards to the stuff I get involved in, but that's partially because I don't know much about any sort of online commerce outside of eBay (which I use frequently).

I'm currently working on getting an auto dealer's license and an LLC set up, should take a few months to get all that nailed down.

The mobile tech business sounds pretty neat, I'd love to talk more about that in person, lots of questions.

The founders are big fans of Buffet and want to follow in his footstep i.e. no stock splits.
That is what they had said in an interview a while ago.

$1,000 isn't outrageous for a stock if you compare it to Berkshire Hathaway. Even the B stocks are currently over $3k

Yes everyone knows this. But the reason why companies like to split stock prices as they rise is to make it more affordable for the average investor. Joe Schmoe doesn't trade Berkshire or Google shares on a daily basis. But they do MSFT or WMT. Compare the volumes.
